About me
Hi. I work with exceptional education students as a paraprofessional- instructional aide. I have a associate degree in child development from Lawson State 1996.I have 25 years experience working with 6 weeks to 5 years old. That experience help me prepare for my para position. I honed skills from working in early childhood with teaching math development , literacy, fine gross motor skills , social emotional development. I plan begin college fall 2023 with a goal is obtain bachelor’s degree and certifications teach special Ed. from UWA by 2027. I am nervous about if I pass certification test. I am passionate about working with special Ed and love learn about skills improve me completing my job. Upon finishing college and graduation I plan work towards master’s, Ed.S, child development bachelor’s degree, NBCT, and Ph.D. The goal of obtaining all the degrees is give me book and skills knowledge to move forward SPED teacher who obtains higher Ed degrees but maintain my commitment for teaching students life skills, reading, math,etc while advocating for the students while build relationships with parents giving them resources help their children. Plus I want be able give back help students being a reading math tutor for Pre K to 2nd grade students after receiving my bachelors degree. Plus, receiving degrees will help me get out poverty being a paraprofessional pay is low. I currently work 2 to 3 jobs while co parenting my son . I want be able retire rich, if I can obtain degrees I be able retire and complete community service and not have work. Always looking for encouragement and ideas in pursuing my education goals and having conversations about the things going in the community world and other meaningful conversations
