About me
Kiesha Arceneaux began her career in education teaching secondary English and Literature at Sherwood Middle Academic Magnet School, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. It was there she designed and managed a groundbreaking STEM program consisting of Computer Science, Robotics, Game Design, Web Design, and Digital Media Arts in partnership with several community stakeholders such as STEMup BR, LAWIT, and LSU's College of Education. As a teacher, Arceneaux served her school and district in a variety of capacities including as a member of the Technology Management, School Improvement, and Professional Development teams. In addition, she served as a Critical Friends Coach to support PLCs and teacher support networks for her district.
Arceneaux then transitioned to a District Instructional Specialist and Instructional Technology Facilitator reporting to the Executive Leadership Team supporting a Chromebook 1:1 roll-out involving over a dozen middle schools and 14,000+ devices. In that role, she designed and delivered professional development for educators across the district to integrate Chromebooks and G Suite into the classroom effectively for a district of over 86 schools with over 25,000+ student Chromebooks deployed in grades 4-12. She collaborated to draft district policy and guidelines and has personally designed several district-wide projects such as a highly successful campaign aimed at the increase of Google Certified Educators throughout the district. Arceneaux was also instrumental in the improvement and increase in district-wide communications by designing and implementing a variety of resources such as a team website, Tech Jam vlog, YouTube channel, district FAQ forum, and newsletters.
